What is Tie A Yellow Ribbon Campaign?
Members of Justice Seekers inc. and all affiliated organizations will be wearing yellow ribbons to commemorate the release dates of friends and loved ones across the country. This Campaign has two Objectives.
1. Prisoners' will know that they are being welcomed back into society.
2. Wearers' will have a chance to raise public conciousness regarding the fact that Inmates are human beings.
The national average of released prisoners' who return to jail or prison is 40%. When you think about the impact this has on society, this campaign makes sense. Maybe a little positive attention will help them make the extra effort it will take for them to stay ouside the "walls".
How to participate
If you would like to participate, pick up a
piece of bright yellow ribbon at your local
fabric or craft store. You can also contact
Melissa to send you a ribbon. Next, e-mail

write to: P.O. Box 708 Waukegan, Illinois 60079-0708. She will notify you of all "yellow ribbon" days either through e-mail or snail mail.
When someone you know is being released from prison, e-mail Melissa with their first name, and the date and location of their release. She will send out notices so that we can all wear our ribbons for him or her.
